Instructors can access Zoom attendance reports through their Canvas courses. They can also access the reports for all of their courses through the official Zoom portal.
Zoom Attendance Reports in Canvas
1. In Canvas, click the Zoom link in the course navigation links.
2. Then, click the Previous Meetings tab.
3. And finally click the Report link for any meeting.

On the reports page, you will see all participants who attended the session and a breakdown of the available data (see screenshot below list).
1. Name: This is the student name.
2. Email: This is the student's email address.
3. Join Time: Marks when the student entered the course.
4. Leave Time: Marks when the student left the course.
5. Duration: How long the student was in the meeting for that session.
- NOTE: If a student left and rejoined, there will be an additional entry with the join, leave, and duration stats.
Download a Copy of the Report from Canvas
Directly below the Meeting Report tab, you will see a link that says Export as CSV file. Click that link to download a csv file of attendance for that meeting, which you can save for attendance verification purposes.
Zoom Attendance Reports in Zoom Home > Reports Settings
In addition to offering reports for any classes associated with the instructor, the Zoom portal's report settings offers the option to export the report as a CSV file, which may have advantages for some instructors.
1. Sign In (https://ucsd.zoom.us/signin) to your UC San Diego Zoom Pro account using you UCSD AD account
2. On the left menu, click Reports and then click on Usage.
2. You should see a list of your meetings. To filter these results down, specify the time frame you are interested in seeing the meeting data for.
3. Locate the meeting in the list and click on the number listed in the Participants column:
4. This will launch a report that shows the participants name, email, meeting enter and leave times along with the duration spent in the Zoom meeting. Click Export to download a CSV copy of this report that can be opened within Excel.
