Configure Grading Options for the Academic Integrity: Training and Pledge Quiz
The quiz is not designed for credit, but it is preconfigured to be worth 7 points in order for the completion requirements to work. However, you can choose if you actually want to give students credit and configure your Assignment settings accordingly.
For a No-Credit Quiz
If you do not want this quiz to be counted toward your students' final grade, you will need to put this quiz into its own assignment group in the Assignments area of your Canvas course and make it worth 0%.
To give credit for this Quiz
If you wish to give students credit for taking this quiz, you will need to modify the quiz instructions. You will also need to put the quiz into one of your assignment groups in the Assignments area of your Canvas course.
You can change the total points the quiz is worth by editing the point value of individual quiz questions.
How to create a quiz question (skip to step 7)
Configure Content Locking Completion Requirements (if desired)
Instructors can apply completion requirements so that students must complete the quiz by reading and affirming the no-AI policy and pledging not to use AI in your course before they can move on to your learning content.
After importing the quiz, add it at the top of your first module of content. (Refer to the add quiz to a module, step 5, above.)
NOTE: The quiz must be published in order for these settings to work!
1. Click the (1) three option dots in the module's control bar and click (2) Edit.
2. Then click + Add Requirement.
3. Under Requirements, perform these steps:
- (A) click the radio button to enable Students must complete all of these requirements
- (B) check the box to enable Students must move through requirements in sequential order
- (C) select the Academic Integrity quiz from the dropdown menu; choose score at least; set the score to 7.
- (D) click Update Module to finish the settings.

Now when students see this module, they will only be able to access the quiz...
...and the other module contents will not be accessible until a student scores 7/7 on the quiz.
