Accessing Course and Instructor Evaluations Results (Staff)

Access results for courses within a specific quarter

  1. From within Canvas DES staff can click the Course Evaluation button (star icon) located on the global menu to get to their Watermark Dashboard​.
  2. Evaluations are grouped by the quarter (this is what Watermark refers to as a Project)> To see a full list of quarters click on Results and drop down to select Project Results​.
  3. Click on the quarter listed under Project Results​ that you interested in viewing results data for. A screenshot of a survey Description automatically generated
  4. Individual results for a section can be downloaded/viewed by clicking the Course Sections tab > click download button in View column​.
  5. To download multiple result reports > select sections and click Batch Report​.

Access results for a specific instructor

  1. From within Canvas DES staff can click the Course Evaluation button (star icon) located on the global menu to get to their Watermark Dashboard​.
  2. Click on Results and drop down to select Instructor Means Reporting.A screenshot of a web page Description automatically generated
  3. Project: Select the Project(s) you are interested in including in the report (this is the quarter).
  4. Instructor: Select Instructor name.
  5. Questions: Select all questions.
  6. Group By: Select Instructor/Project to display quarter, select Course to display specific course section and course number.
  7. If you wanted to only pull data for specific courses you can choose the courses, the default is all courses within the Project (quarters) you selected.
  8. Click Search > download results as PDF.

Accessing surveys prior to the Watermark transition

Beginning WI24, Extended Studies transitioned to Watermark as our evaluation tool. Evaluation data dating back to FA17 has been archived and is accessible using Watermark using the steps outlined in this help article. Evaluations prior to FA17 should still be accessible using UnexWeb. If you run into issues trying to access evaluations prior to FA17 in UnexWeb, please reach out to the Institutional Research team at the following email address to assist: unex-ir@ucsd.edu.
