Your instructor may create student groups, which give you a space to collaborate with your classmates, making announcements, creating and posting in discussions, and sharing files with one another. This space is not associated with any grading.
This article will explain how you can access group that you have been put in. These areas function exactly as the main areas in your canvas course. Links to the appropriate supplemental articles are included for each functional area.
Note: Groups are for students to collaborate and communicate, but they are not a place for assignment submission. You should only submit work to assignments or discussions in your course's modules or other course areas indicated by your instructor.
