How to Add Extra Attempts for Quizzes
Moderating Quizzes
Moderating a quiz lets you create exceptions, allowing extra attempts for individual students as well as multiple students at once. This option also allows you to grant extra attempts for students who have not yet taken the quiz. For timed quizzes, you can grant extra time for an attempt. If your quiz options allow students to view results only once after each attempt, you can also let students view quiz results one more time.
If you need to provide an extension for a student to complete the quiz outside of your originally programmed access/due dates, you can assign the quiz to the specific student, while leaving the original access/due dates for the rest of the course.

3. Click in the new Assign to field that appears, and select the student or students who need additional time.
- Set the extended due date dates for the student. Make sure that if you have set Available from and Until dates in the initial assignment settings that you modify the Until field to allow the student access up until their extended due date.
- You can assign multiple students if they all have the same new due date. For each different additional due date, you will need to use the + Assign To feature, repeating the steps above.
