We have two types of scheduled maintenance at UC San Diego Extended Studies that may impact user's access to Canvas.
1. Extended Studies Systems Maintenance, generally scheduled to occur during a 4 hour period,10:00pm - 2:00am, on the second Thursday of the month. During these windows, user's ability to log into Extended Studies systems will be disabled but Canvas will remain active. This means, you may still work within Canvas if you login prior to the maintenance window but you will not be able to log back in until the maintenance is complete. Although we reserve the time until 2am the following morning, system access is usually restored much earlier.
2. Canvas Mandated Maintenance, scheduled to occur on the first and third Thursday of every month, 1:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m PST during which Canvas could potentially be offline for 10 minutes. While these windows are reserved, it is not likely that Canvas will take the system offline on each scheduled maintenance date that is listed below. If downtime is expected, users will see a system announcement posted in Canvas and MyExtension on the Monday prior the scheduled Thursday.
