If you did not create your own MyExtension account or enroll yourself in the course through our online enrollment system, then logging into Canvas for the first time will require a few extra steps. Please allow yourself 10 minutes to complete the initial login set-up. If you have taken any other Extended Studies courses with us and already know your username and password, you can skip to How to log into Canvas.
- Go to the reset your password page (also accessible from the Are you a student and forgot your password? from the Canvas login).
- Enter the email address associated with your UC San Diego Extended Studies account. If you do not know what email was used please contact Student Services at email@example.com or by phone (858)-534-3400 .
- Click SUBMIT. Instructions on how to set your password will be emailed to you, which will allow you to log in to Canvas.
Please note, you may be prompted to update your SSN records with Extended Studies. Follow the directions to provide this information or choose the opt out option.
This completes the initial login set-up. You should now be able to login using the standard login steps: How to log into Canvas. Once you've logged in to Canvas, you'll see your dashboard, where you can easily get to your course content.
